Some got scandalised, while some tried to looked away, and some were left laughing. Travellers at a busy Kerala state-run bus station at Wayanad got a rare chance to feast their eyes with 30 minutes of porn. Yes. Porn.
There were women, parents with children among hundreds of others, waiting for their daily commute at the Kalpetta KSRTC bus station. All of a sudden, the television, running promotional contents, started playing some steamy scenes of soft-porn.
People were taken aback, without knowing what to do. Some tried covering the television set with clothes. People tried pulling the cable out. Few ran to the cable operator’s room to find it locked. The show was finally stopped after some others struck the cable down using an iron rod used to open the shutter doors of a shop in the complex, reported local media.
The story made waves in social media when this reddit user shared the event.
The goof-up took place after the cable operator mixed up his pen-drives. Police later arrested the 38-year-old cable operator, Manzoor under Section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (obscene and indecent advertisement and display), the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and various sections of the Information Technology Act.
So much for the allegations of ‘Mallu soft-porn’.
