Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah and singer Adnan Sami got into a Twitter spat after Abdullah slammed the government and criticised Sami’s concert saying, “The empty seats and delayed start are showing Kashmir for what it is – empty hotels, poor governance & general public despondency.”

Adnan Sami replied by tweeting the pictures of the house full concert.

Sami performed for free at the concert on Saturday, 7 October, jointly organised by the Union Home Ministry and the Jammu and Kashmir government, which, he said, was aimed to promote tourism.

The fight started after pictures of empty seats at Sami’s concert were tweeted by several people, including Omar Abdullah.
