In broad daylight on Monday, 15 May, Twinkle Arora, an undergraduate student from Noida was assaulted outside Noida’s City Centre Metro Station.
Returning from her examination, Arora was followed by a man on a motorcycle for a couple of minutes. Despite her best attempts to avoid him, he pursued her, grabbed her bag, and started physically assaulting her.
Arora has advised both the government and the relevant authorities to hold self-defense classes for women, so that no one would have to go through what she did.
