No More Protests, Situation Under Control: FTII’s Gajendra Chauhan

Chauhan denies there are any protests against him, says students are protesting Hyderabad dalit scholar’s death.

The very controversial Gajendra Chauhan, who took charge as the Chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) amid protests earlier this month, has said that there were no more protests at the moment.

<p>There are no protests in FTII right now. I have officially joined now and nothing has happened. They are protesting right now against the suicide of the dalit scholar in Hyderabad.&nbsp;</p>

On January 7, over 20 students had been bundled-up in a police van and taken to the police station after Chauhan took charge as Chairman.
