NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed’s children are being approached by the authorities to provide an eyewitness account of the shooting. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer Tanzil Ahmed and his wife were attacked by assailants in the early hours of 3 April. Both of them succumbed to their injuries.
Ahmed’s 12-year-old son and 14-year-old-daughter are now being approached to provide any evidence that might lead to the attackers.
Officially, the Uttar Pradesh police have said “vengeance, personal animosity and domestic disputes” was the motive for the crime. However, neither the family nor the NIA is convinced.
