The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday arrested another Lashkar-e-Taiba operative identified as Showkat Ahmed Bhat, reports Times of India. He arranged transportation in Kashmir for the four Pakistani terrorists including captured Mohammad Naved Yakub on June 2.
The LeT terrorists — Naved Yakub and Mohammad Noman (now dead) — had attacked a BSF convoy on August 5. The other two, Zhargham alias Mohammed Bhai and Abu Okasa are still suspected to be hiding in the Valley.
Bhat, who belongs to Kashmir, is allegedly an old LeT operative. He was detained by Jammu & Kashmir police after which he was handed over to the federal probe agency.
Officials suspect that Bhat was directed by Abu Qasim, a LeT commander in J&K, to arrange the travel.
