NewsX Gets “Roasted” for Misunderstanding Tanmay Bhat’s Sarcasm

Maybe it’s time for NewsX to brush up its sarcasm skills.

AIB’s Tanmay Bhat has landed in the middle of another controversy with a Snapchat video where he face-swapped with Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar to make them have a face-off.

The video received outrage for insulting the two Indian icons.

Tanmay sarcastically tweeted to Snapchat asking them to pay him and NewsX misinterpreted the tweet, only to make an “exclusive” scoop out of his alleged PR tactic.

Twitteratti, however, understood the comedian’s humour and in-turn “roasted” NewsX for their faux pas.

Others took to directly lashing out against the news channel, for their imbecile reportage.

NewsX’s lack of humour aside, was the outrage over Bhat’s video valid or is everyone worrying too much about a non-issue?
