Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday committed a faux pas when he greeted Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on his ‘birthday’ on Twitter.

Ghani, whose birthday is on 19 May, was quick to correct Modi.

The mistake may have happened as Google throws up Ghani’s date of birth as 12 February 1949.

Twitter had quite a field day trolling Modi.
