Mathura Violence: No Bullets Found in Post-Mortem of 19 Bodies

The violence which erupted last week claimed the lives of 29 people.

  • Authorities revealed on Wednesday that the post-mortem report of 19 people killed during the Jawahar Bagh violence in Mathura indicates that none of the victims succumbed to bullet injuries. Twelve died of burn injuries and seven from lathi blows and stone-pelting.


  • Police has said the Facebook accounts of Ram Vriksh Yadav and his associates would be shut down with the help of the cyber cell, while records found there would be used to help with the investigation.


  • The violence, which erupted last week, claimed the lives of Superintendent of Police (City) Mukul Dwivedi and SHO Santosh Kumar, along with 27 others who were killed during clashes between police and encroachers at Jawahar Bagh.
