The second edition of the Delhi Food Truck Festival was successfully held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Over 40 food truck brands and more than 30 stalls offered a variety of dishes and drinks from different parts of the world. There was a live music from other countries too!
But it was the delectable food offered at the stall named 'Ilham' that attracted everyone's attention. It was a huge hit.
The stall was set up by women from Afghanistan, who are refugees living in Delhi, and many of them are single mothers. Each one of them has a painful story to share, but these women have not lost hope. They hope to live a better life and raise their children on their own.
Their food stall, Ilham, was funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The menu had a wide range items like Afghani Tea, Afghani Chicken Samosa, Chapli Kabab, Bolani, Kabuli Pulao, Manthu, Korii-e-Murgh, Baklava and Rot, which tempted every non-vegetarian.
