A month-old girl child was found dumped near a drain in northwest Delhi's Bhalaswa Dairy area, police told PTI.

A revenue official was arrested for allegedly teasing a girl in Jammu district, police said on Thursday.
A complaint was lodged by the family members of the girl stating that one Patwari Bushan Kumar entered their home in RS Pora on Wednesday when the girl was alone. Kumar teased their girl, the complaint further read.
Kumar was arrested and a case was registered.
Indonesia's top security minister, Wiranto, said the death toll from last Sunday's earthquake on the island of Lombok has climbed to 319.
The announcement came after an inter-agency meeting that was convened to resolve wildly different figures for deaths from different agencies.

A 27-year-old pregnant woman has died due to alleged medical negligence at a government hospital in Rajasthan's Bundi district, Congress Seva Dal district president Mahmood Ali told NDTV on Wedneday.

The IMF today described the Goods and Services Tax (GST) as a "milestone reform" in India's tax policy, but pushed for a simplified structure, saying the multiple rate structure and other features could give rise to high compliance and administrative costs.

Dalit groups have withdrawn their call for a "Bharat Bandh" on Thursday after the Lok Sabha passed the SC/ST amendment bill, upturning the SC ruling that had diluted certain provisions of the original legislation.
