Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido has arrived back in Venezuela to renew his campaign to topple the government of President Nicolas Maduro.
Guaido landed at the country's main airport, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Caracas. He said in a tweet he successfully passed through immigration checks.
Several European ambassadors who support his campaign for a change of leadership in Venezuela were at the scene as he arrived Monday.
Dozens of countries have recognized Guaido as Venezuela's legitimate leader, arguing that last year's re-election of Maduro was invalid.
Guaido has called for nationwide demonstrations coinciding with his arrival. He'd ignored an official ban on travelling to go abroad.

An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Tral area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"A brief exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Tral area," a police spokesman told PTI.
He said the security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to flush out the militants.

South Korea has proposed semiofficial three-way talks with the United States and North Korea as it struggles to put nuclear diplomacy back on track after the collapse of a summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The proposal for the talks came during a National Security Council meeting on Monday led by South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who said it was Seoul's "outmost priority" to prevent nuclear negotiations between the US and North Korea from derailing.

A Chinese government spokesman took issue on Monday with US claims that telecoms giant Huawei Technologies poses a threat to other countries' information security because of Chinese laws.
The comments by spokesman Zhang Yesui ahead of the annual session of China's rubber-stamp parliament followed news that Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou, who was arrested by Canada at the request of the US, is suing the Canadian government over her treatment.

Gurugram police detained 125 youth for unlawful activities from MG Road, Cyber Hub and Sector 29, Gurugram on Sunday night.
The youth were involved in eve-teasing, hooliganism and other unlawful activities, IANS reported. The police arrested 11 of them under the Excise Act for creating nuisance in inebriated state.
Five fishermen were rescued by an Indian Naval ship from a sinking fishing vessel off the north Kerala coast on Monday, a Defence spokesman said in Kochi.
INS Sharda, based at Kochi, rescued the five fishermen who were found floating in the sea after their fishing vessel FV Omkaram sank, some 35 km North West of Azhikal port, he said in a release, as per PTI.

Pakistani troops on Monday violated ceasefire at two places by targeting forward posts and villages along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, breaking a two-day lull in cross-border skirmishes, officials said.
The firing and shelling by Pakistan in Akhnoor and Poonch sectors in Jammu region, however, caused no casualty, they said, as per PTI.
A defence spokesperson said Pakistan initiated the unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing mortar shells and small arms on forward posts and villages around 3.00 am in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district.
