The Kalinga Sena has withdrawn threat to throw ink at Shah Rukh Khan after request from the President of Hockey India. The outfit had threatened to throw ink on Khan’s face and stage black flag demonstration accusing him of insulting Odisha through his film Ashoka that was released 17 years ago.
“We have withdrawn our threat to throw ink at Shah Rukh Khan as we have received a letter from President of Hockey India requesting to consider the decision. Secondly, it is a matter of prestige of Odisha and India,” said the outfit’s chief Hemant Rath.
“We have decided to withdraw the threat for the time being in view of the request made by Hockey India President and Odisha government and police. Further decision will be taken later but we haven't forgiven Shah Rukh Khan,” he said.

A man was arrested under The Arms Act after a live bullet was seized from him during checking when he went to visit CM Kejriwal on Monday morning. He was among the Muslim clerics who had gone to the CM with a request to increase the salary by Waqf Board.
The man, identified as Imran, told police that he found the bullets in the donation of a mosque, kept it in his wallet and later forgot about it. The police are investigating the matter.

The Supreme Court today allowed K M Shaji, Kerala MLA of Indian Union Muslim League who was disqualified by the High Court for making communal remarks during 2016 assembly polls, to take part in the house proceedings without voting rights and salary.
Shaji, who had won the elections from Azhikode Assembly constituency in 2016, was disqualified for six year by the high court on November 9.

A court today acquitted Delhi's Health Minister Satyendar Jain in an alleged case of rioting in Paschim Vihar area here before the 2013 Delhi assembly election.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal granted the relief to Jain and four AAP volunteers, noting that the witnesses cited by the prosecution failed to identify Jain, his advocate Mohd Irshad said.
Jain was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly rioting and obstructing public servants from discharging their duty during the protest which was held after a reported rape incident.

21 people have been arrested over rioting that broke out amid a dispute over the relocation of an Indian temple outside Kuala Lumpur.
The melee began early on Monday morning when a group of intruders attacked Indian devotees praying at the Sri Maha Mariamman temple in central Selangor state's Subang Jaya township and torched vehicles.
Another group of men retaliated on early Tuesday morning by vandalising the office of property developer MCT Berhad near the temple and also set some vehicles ablaze.
MCT's unit One City Development owns the land on which the temple sits and is embroiled in a legal tussle to relocate the century-old temple to an area nearby.
Government officials and police were quick to dispel rumors on social media that it was a racial conflict.
