10 Dead, 1 Injured as Oil Tankers Rams Into Auto

10 people have died, 1 injured after an oil tanker rammed into their autorickshaw near Ramrai village in Haryana’s Jind last night. They were returning from an Army recruitment rally. Police says "Relatives informed. Some of these were cadets at military academy. Academy has been informed too."

The India Meteorological Dept, said on Wednesday, 25 September, said that Cyclonic Storm ‘HIKAA’ over Oman lay centered at 0530 hrs IST of 25th September about 70 km southwest of Haima. It is likely to move west-southwestwards, weaken into a depression in next six hours and into a well-marked low in subsequent six hours.

Warning Against Jaish Module to Possibly Carry IAF Base Attack

Intelligence agencies have issued warning against a module, of 8-10 Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, which will possibly try to carry out a suicide attack against Air Force bases in and around Jammu and Kashmir.

IAF bases in Srinagar, Awantipora, Jammu, Pathankot, Hindon have been put on high alert at orange level. Senior officers are reviewing security arrangements 24x7 to tackle the threat. The alert has emanated after agencies monitored movements of Jaish terrorists.

A man was thrashed by a mob and handed over to police for allegedly harassing a woman in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, police said Wednesday.

The incident happened in Khatoli town of the district on Tuesday evening.

The man has been arrested after a case registered against him, Station House Officer Santosh Kumar Tyagi said.

Three Men Arrested After Shootout on Dhansa Najafgarh Road

Three people were arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police after an exchange of gunfire in southwest Delhi's Dhansa-Najafgarh road on Wednesday morning, officials said.

The accused were identified as Pramod, Nishant and Surjeet. Whle Pramod and Nishant were residents of Bawana, Surjeet is a resident of Rohtak.

The trio are members of Sandeep alias Dheelu's gang, police said.

US President Donald Trump called the grounds for his impeachment laid out by Democrats "a joke," after he was accused of pressuring his Ukrainian counterpart for domestic political reasons.

"When they look at the information, it's a joke. Impeachment for that?" Trump told a news conference in New York on Wednesday, a day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the launch of impeachment proceedings.
