Police Officer Shot Dead by Suspected Militants in South Kashmir

A police officer, identified as Gowhar Ahmad, was shot dead by suspected terrorists in Yaripora area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday evening, claim reports. He was riding a motorcycle to his home when terrorists opened fire.
Ahmad was shot near the Kanjikulla bridge in Kulgam, a police official claimed as per a PTI report.
The deceased is said to be a resident of Kulgam’s Kujjar village, and was posted with the Special Operations Group (SOG) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, as per reports.
