There is still no trace of JNU student Najeeb Ahmed, who went missing on 15 October 2016.
Najeeb Ahmed, a first year MSc student of biotechnology, went missing after an alleged brawl with ABVP members in JNU hostel while on an election campaign on 15 October.
While the ABVP members accuse the left parties of hiding Najeeb, his parents and JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) allege ABVP’s involvement in Najeeb’s disappearance.
Here are some plausible explanations that members of the public have given about Najeeb's disappearance and also of the events that unfolded that night.
On Thursday, JNUSU also demanded that police should first rule out his presence in the JNU campus by searching the jungles, and demanded that those accused of assaulting Ahmed be questioned and arrested immediately.
