Sacked Aam Aadmi Party leader Kapil Mishra lashed out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in a strongly-worded Facebook post on 17 May.
He alleged that Kejriwal has remained “criminally silent”, despite new cases of corruption being exposed against the Delhi government officials and houses of relatives being raided on an almost daily basis.
Mishra alleged that Kejriwal has attended office for barely two days in the past one year. Kejriwal is the CM with the least public interaction, he is the only CM who doesn’t handle any portfolio. He does the least amount of work and he’s always on leave, Mishra wrote.
Mishra said that Kejriwal has advised his acquaintances to lay low until the public forgets about the corruption charges. He told them not to be afraid because the public forgets everything in 15-20 days, Mishra wrote.
He concluded by saying that the people of Delhi would now speak against the government and the corruption charges.
On 15 May, Mishra ended his hunger strike against Kejriwal, and said he would approach the CBI and the CBDT to file corruption charges against the Delhi CM. He had earlier alleged that he had seen Kejriwal accept Rs 2 crore in cash from the Health Minister, Satyendar Jain. The party had sacked Mishra on charges of ‘anti-party activities’.
