Journo’s Son Found Dead in Bihar’s Nalanda with Eyes Gouged Out

Preliminary investigation suggests the boy was murdered, police said. The only injuries visible were near his eyes.

The son of a journalist was killed by unidentified miscreants in Bihar's Nalanda on Saturday, 13 April. The eyes of the victim, a teenager, were gouged out before he was killed, ANI reported.

The deceased, who has been identified as 15-year-old Chunnu Kumar was found floating in a pond near Hasanpur village. His father, senior journalist Ashutosh Kumar Arya, works for a well-known Hindi daily, reported IANS.

Nilesh Kumar, SP Nalanda told ANI, “There’s bleeding from his eyes. No injury visible on the body except near eyes. Cause of death will be known after post-mortem. Investigation is underway.”

Preliminary investigation suggests the boy was murdered, Kumar said.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.
