In a report submitted in the Delhi Helhi Court, Police said Kanhaiya actively participated in an unlawful assembly which raised anti-national slogans. Police added that video footage isnt the only evidence, and that they have other evidence, including eyewitnesses to prove charges.
According to media reports, the Delhi High Court will pass directions with regard to place where Umar Khaled and Anirban Bhattacharya will be produced after consultation with authorities.
The Delhi High Court has deferred Kanhaiya Kumar’s bail plea hearing to 29 February.
The High Court also expressed concern over Kumar’s safety and said “we have to ensure that they do not even suffer a scratch”.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has informed the High Court that they will seek fresh remand of Kumar as Khaled and Anirban have been arrested on sedition charges.
Amit Shah has pulled up BJP MLA from Rajasthan, Gyandev Ahuja who made controversial comments about JNU, CNN-IBN reports.
Ahuja had claimed that 3,000 condoms, 500 abortion injections and 5,000 alcohol bottles and cans were found on the campus everyday besides bones and cigarette and beedi butts.

Umar Khalid and Anirban have disclosed to the police their whereabouts at the time of their disappearance. The police has also asked them about the intention of the marches and who else were involved, reports said.
CNN-IBN reports says Khaled has also admitted to raising pro-Afzal slogans in JNU.

The remaining three JNU students, charged with sedition are expected to surrender today, according to media reports.

Late Tuesday night, JNU students Umar Khaled and Anirban Bhattacharya surrendered to the police.
Umar Khaled is an ex-DSU member. They have been charged with sedition for their role as organisers of an event that marked the second anniversary of Afzal Guru’s hanging.
The Delhi Police has questioned them for five hours.
Of the six accused, JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar is in police custody, while the other five students were in hiding.
The remaining three accused students are in the JNU campus and have yet to surrender.
