A major accident was averted at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Sunday, 8 April, when the wing of a Jet Airways aircraft hit a parked catering truck on the tarmac.
The Dubai bound flight, with 133 passengers on board, arrived at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport at around 8 pm, reported PTI.
The incident took place when the craft was moving towards its designated parking bay.
The right wing of the Jet flight hit a catering vehicle of service provider Taj Sats which was stationed on the nearby lane at the terminal, airport sources told news agency PTI.
"Jet Airways is investigating the incident, which has also been reported to the authorities," the spokesperson further added.
