Shahi murg, sultana pulao, paneer rezala, and many more succulent dishes are going to grace the menu of Rajdhani and Duronto Express trains this Pujo season, said a Times of India report.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) wants its passengers to get a taste of the festive season with its special menu on five trains – Howrah and Sealdah Rajdhanis, the Howrah and Sealdah Durontos to New Delhi, Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express, Sealdah-Puri Duronto Express and the Howrah-Digha AC Express – said the report.
The menu has been designed for four auspicious days of Puja, ie, Saptami, Ashtami, Navmi and Dashami. On Saptami, it will be paneer korma/shahi murg, moong dal with green peas and ghee, sultana pulao/roti, and ice cream for dessert. The next day it will be chicken/paneer rezala, dal makhani, etc.
On Navmi, one would get a taste of murg do pyaza/matar paneer, mixed dal, and on Dashami you can treat your tastebuds with makhanwali murg/paneer, chana dal with coconut, ghee bhaat and gulab jamun.
An IRCTC official told TOI that they will make sure the meals are cooked, packed and served in a proper manner.
