In a span of just over a month, two eleven-year-old girls of Indian-origin in the UK have achieved the highest possible score of 162 in a Mensa IQ test.
Mumbai-born Kashmea Wahi recently achieved a top score of 162 out of 162, putting her in the league of scientists Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking and in the top 1 percent of the country’s brightest. Both Hawking and Einstein are thought to have an IQ of 160.
Kashmea has said she took the test to prove a point to her parents.
In early December, 11-year-old Anushka Binoy, who was born in Kerala, also scored 162 to get into the high-IQ society Mensa.
Mensa is believed to be the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world. Membership is open to anyone who can demonstrate an IQ in the top 2 percent of the population, measured by a recognised or approved IQ testing process.
