Indian badminton stars Kidambi Srikanth and Ashwini Ponnappa turned pranksters when they dressed up as elderly people and tricked kids at a badminton academy in Secunderabad.
Star Sports tweeted a video that shows them visiting the Garuda Badminton Academy disguised as elderly people. The duo pleads with the coach for some playtime with the kids. When the coach refuses, they convince him by saying they used to play badminton 25 years ago.
Finally, the coach agrees and the two of them begin playing. They initially irk the kids with their poor badminton skills, pretending to be too old to pick up the shuttlecock and acting like they are in pain.
Finally, they take off their masks and the kids run to them, asking for autographs.
Srikanth also tweeted the video with a caption, “This was so much fun to be a part of and pull this prank on the kids with @P9Ashwini. What do you think??”
Both Kidambi Srikanth and Ashwini Ponnappa are currently playing the fourth season of the Pro Badminton League
