1. 8-Yr-Old Raped by Principal in Hyderabad

An eight-year-old boy studying at St Adams High School was reportedly sodomised by the school principal. The Rajendranagar police has registered a case against the principal and sent the boy for medical examination.

The boy, who is studying in Class II at the school located in Golden Heights Colony, is a resident of Rajendranagar. For the last two weeks, the boy was reluctant to go to the school despite his parents trying to persuade him.

“He (boy) was also suffering from repeated vomiting and was bleeding from the rectum. He was unable to sleep due to the pain. After continuous questioning, he said that the principal gave him a biscuit and took him to the sleeping room where he abused him,” said the boy’s mother in her complaint to the Rajendranagar police.

2. Restaurant Staffer Held for ‘Filming’ Woman in Restroom in Delhi

Taking suo motu cognisance, Delhi Police have registered a case against a housekeeping staff of an upscale restaurant in Connaught Place for allegedly making a video while a woman customer was using the washroom. The woman informed hotel staff after which the police took action.

DCP (New Delhi) Madhur Verma said the incident was reported to them on Wednesday, following which the staffer, Vikas Pal, was arrested and booked under sections 107/151 CrPC (apprehension of breach of peace and tranquility of an area) at Connaught Place police station. He was later produced in court and granted bail.

3. Mistaken Identity: UPSC Aspirant Held for Killing Security Guard in ‘Rage’

“I don’t know why someone would do this to me”— these were the last words of the 65-year-old security guard who was killed in a colony in Safdarjung Enclave on Wednesday, after he was mistaken for someone else.

A UPSC aspirant, Benzi, allegedly killed security guard Ram Bahadur Khatri with a paper cutter, confusing him for an auto-driver against whom he had held a grudge.

According to the DCP (south) Vijay Kumar, “The accused, Benzi, 25, has been arrested. As per his confession, he and his friends had an argument with an auto-driver a couple of weeks back. On the night of the incident, he saw the same vehicle and in a fit of rage killed the person inside with a paper-cutter.”

4. Engineer Con Posed as Judge to Avoid Toll Fee, Arrested

An engineer who was arrested on Sunday for conning at least 40 people by posing to be a senior judge and an IAS officer, initially made a judge’s fake ID card just to avoid paying toll, police said on Thursday, 27 September. According to the confessions of the accused, he drew “inspiration” from his father’s friend who is a judge and does not pay toll.

Kedarnath Sagar Sharma (29) posed as a senior civil judge from Telangana and started conning people in Delhi and Gurugram by promising them government jobs, flats and admissions in central government-run schools, using his “influence”.

Sharma, who hails from Hyderabad and moved to Gurugram in March this year, was assisted in his cons by a Delhi resident identified as Vijender Singh. The 31-year-old was arrested on Monday.

5. Brothel Owner, Customer Held, Woman Rescued

West Zone Task Force police raided a brothel in the limits of SR Nagar police station on Thursday, 27 September and apprehended two persons including the brothel owner and rescued a victim hailing from West Bengal.

The police have identified the accused as Manepally Ravi Kiran, 35, the brothel owner, and Achanta Krishna Sagar, 27, a customer. According to the police, about a year ago Ravi Kiran came to Hyderabad to earn a living and worked in different places. However, his earnings were not sufficient to meet his lavish lifestyle. As such he hatched a plan to start a brothel in Hyderabad.

6. Husband Sets Wife Aflame For Refusing Sex, Kills Her

A 31-year-old woman died Thursday in this Maharashtra town after her husband allegedly set her on fire for refusing to have sex with him, police said.

Saira Pathan succumbed to the burn injuries at the district civil hospital this morning, police said.

Her husband Ayyub Pathan allegedly demanded to have sexual intercourse with her Wednesday night, but she declined saying she was not feeling well, a police official said.

Angered by her response, Ayyub allegedly poured kerosene from the kitchen stove on her and set her on fire before fleeing from the house, he said.

7. Bengaluru: Busted! Academy of Fake Degrees

An MBA graduate and a business development officer, along with his aide, was arrested by the South-east division police for issuing fake educational certificates.

They were running an academy in Koramangala, which issued fake marks cards and educational certificates to help unemployed youth get jobs.

According to police, Arjun, 30, from Rangapally district in Andhra Pradesh came to Bengaluru around five years ago after completing his post-graduation. He joined a private firm in Koramangala as business development officer.

However to make easy money, he opened Good Guide Academy near Jyothi Nivas College in Koramangala and employed on Harish, 28, hailing from Bihar.

8. NCB Busts International Drug Racket, Three Held in Kolkata

The Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Kolkata zonal unit, in a joint operation with the Delhi NCB, has busted an international drug racket being operated from Kolkata.

A call centre in Poddar Nagar was raided over two days, starting Tuesday, and controlled drugs meant for illegal export to US and Canada were seized, said sources. Investigations have revealed that the racket was functioning under the guise of a call centre. The NCB seized more than 3,000 tablets of six types of psychotropic substances and arrested three persons. Officials said the drugs were supplied abroad through courier and in return, the accused would make a profit of 200 times the cost of each order.

9. Man Held for Raping 14-Yr-Old Daughter in Noida

A 40-year-old man was arrested here Thursday for allegedly raping his teenage daughter, who claimed that she was being sexually harassed by her father for the last three years, a police official said.

The man, a daily wage labourer, had raped the 14-year-old girl two days ago after which she somehow reached the police and narrated her ordeal, a police official said.

"The family belongs to Bihar and they were staying in Chhijarsi village here for last some years. The girl's mother, who is a housewife, was aware of the happenings but both were threatened to remain silent," said the official from Phase-III police station.

"She has said in her complaint that her father is a drug addict and also did not allow her to attend school," the policeman said.
