The price of subsidised cooking gas (LPG) has been hiked by Rs 2 per cylinder on Thursday.

This is the third straight rise in the price of cooking gas in three months.

A 14.2 kg cylinder which previously cost Rs 421.16 will now be available for Rs 423.09 in Delhi as per State-owned oil firms. This, according to the government, is done to reduce dependence on subsidies.

Kerosene prices have also been increased by 25 paise for ten months by the government on Thursday.

One litre of kerosene would be available for Rs 15.46 in Delhi.
