IBPS Clerk 2018 Recruitment: Here’s All You Need to Know

The IBPS Clerk 2018 recruitment notification has been released. A total of 7,275 vacancies have been notified by IBPS, this year. For the financial year 2019-2020, the vacancies will be filled through a common recruitment process, which will include an online preliminary exam and an online main exam. Nineteen nationalised banks will participate in clerk recruitment, this year.

Online registration will begin on 18 September and the preliminary exam will be held in December 2018. The provisional allotment process is expected to be completed in April 2019.

Here are the important dates, eligibility criteria and list of vacancies for IBPS Clerk 2018:

  • Online registration including edit/modification of application - 18 Sept to 10 Oct
  • Payment of application fees/intimation charges (online) -18 Sept to 10 Oct
  • Download of call letters for Pre- Exam Training - November 2018
  • Pre-Exam Training - 26 Nov to 01 Dec
  • Download of call letters for online preliminary examination - November 2018
  • Online preliminary examination - 8, 9, 15 & 16 Dec
  • Result of online preliminary exam - December 2018/ January 2019
  • Download of call letter for online main exam - January 2019
  • Online main examination - 20 Jan, 2019
  • Provisional allotment - April 2019

IBPS Clerk 2018 – Eligibility Criteria:

Age limit:

20-28 years: A candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 September 1989 and not later than 1 September 1997 (both dates inclusive)
Age relaxation applies for:
SC/ST: 5 Years
OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 Years
Person with disabilities: 10 Years

Education Qualification:

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Computer Literacy: Candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

IBPS Clerk 2018 – Examination Structure:

Preliminary Examination

  1. English Language: 30 Questions, 30 Marks (20 minutes)
  2. Numerical Ability: 35 Questions, 35 Marks (20 minutes)
  3. Reasoning Ability: 35 Questions, 35 Marks (20 minutes)

Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks (60 Minutes)

Main Examination

  1. General/ Financial Awareness: 50 Questions, 50 Marks (35 minutes)
  2. General English: 40 Questions, 40 Marks (35 minutes)
  3. Reasoning Ability & Computer: 50 Questions, 60 Marks (45 minutes)
  4. Aptitude: 50 Questions, 50 Marks (45 minutes)
  5. Quantitative Aptitude: 45 Questions, 50 Marks (45 minutes)

Total: 190 Questions, 200 Marks (160 Minutes)

Application Process:

The application link for IBPS Clerk 2018 will be live on official website on 18 September 2018.

The application fee is Rs 100 for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates and Rs 600 for all other candidates.
