The woman, identified as city-based psychiatrist Lubna Shazore Mirza, was allegedly speeding and cutting lanes, when she almost bumped her vehicle into a motorist.
“She just missed the scooter, whose driver had not noticed her car. She then continued to zig-zag between the lanes, causing trouble for other commuters as well,” a biker told Deccan Chronicle.
Right at the time, SR Nagar traffic inspector VVS Ramalinga Raju happened to pass by, and tried to break up the two parties after seeing that they had entered into a heated argument.
The entire incident was recorded on camera, the video went viral on social media.
Begumpet traffic police inspector K Kalyan Kumar told Mirror, "We asked the man to lodge a complaint. But, he was not willing to lodge a complaint against the woman. Our CCTV footage also showed her driving the car rashly from Greenpark flyover."
While the motorist did not lodge a complaint, the Inspector who was also an eye-witness filed a complaint, following which a case was booked against Lubna for rash driving and creating a nuisance.
