The popular 'Humans of Hindutva' Facebook page was deleted by its administrator on Thursday, 28 December after he alleged that he was receiving death threats.
A statement was posted on the website Satyanash regarding his decision to take down the Facebook page:

Confirming the incident, Jairaj Singh, editor of online portal DailyO, tweeted:
'Humans of Hindutva' came into the spotlight for its many satirical posts which took digs at the current political dispensation as well as right-wing fundamentalism.
Notably, the administrator had decided to quit in September too, but did not end up doing so after many people requested him to keep his page active.
At that time, he was quoted by the Indian Express as saying, "I guess to stop now would be to play into the hands of the fascists I despise so I guess I'll keep this going for a little longer."
In October the administrator had told The Wire about how he was a victim of countless death threats, abuse and threats.
