• One terrorist was killed on Thursday in a gunfight between security forces and militants in Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said.
  
  

• The gunfight broke out in Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district earlier in the morning.
  
  

• Police said security forces surrounded Aragam Chitti Bandi village after receiving information about militants being holed up in the village, which triggered the gunfight.
  
  

• The encounter came to an end around 2 pm, police added. More details are awaited.
