India is home to 101 billionaires, the fourth-highest in the world, with Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani leading the club, according to India Rich List 2017 by Forbes. It is interesting to note that Ambani has held the top spot for ten years and has added a staggering $15.3 billion to his net worth in 2017. He, now, is also among Asia’s 5 richest.
The combined wealth of India’s 100 richest billionaires rose more than a fourth to $479 billion in 2017 whereas the cumulative wealth of the top ten richest Indians in the world is $171.4 billion.
Savitri Jindal is at the sixteenth spot with a net worth of $ 7.5 billion. Shaw stands 72nd in the list of Forbes richest Indians with a net worth of $ 2.16 billion and Tewari boasts of a net worth of $ 2.19 billion.
