A fire that broke out earlier on Tuesday morning, 21 January, at Raghuveer Complex in Gujarat’s Surat has been brought under control, with cooling operation underway, news agency ANI reported.
The blaze had erupted in a large textile market in Saroli area, and gutted several shops, PTI reported, quoting a fire official as saying.
The fire brigade declared a 'brigade call' and deployed 60 fire tenders from across the city to douse the flames, the official said.
Photos from the spot earlier showed a building in flames as fire engines try to douse the fire.
NDTV reported that it was not yet clear how the fire broke out and spread. According to their report, no casualties have been reported so far.
