The body of a youth, abducted by terrorists from his home in Hajin located in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, was found on Friday, 6 April.

The youth was abducted along with his father, by terrorists after the latter opened fire on the duo. The father managed to escape and is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

The incident comes close to the death of 26-year-old Naseer Ahmed Parray, who was allegedly abducted by unidentified gunmen in Hajin and later found dead.

The J&K police said that Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the killing of Parray, who was abducted from his in-laws’ house in the area on 2 April. Three of his relatives, including two women, were injured by the militants.

The militants barged into Parray’s house on Monday and opened fire on the inmates.

“The terrorists used knives to cause grievous injuries to the wife, daughter and brother of Farooq,” the spokesman said.

The police spokesman also said the militants had killed Farooq's son in 2017. “Muzzafar Ahmad Parrey was killed ruthlessly by terrorists last summer. He was first decapitated and then his body was thrown into the river,” he added.
