Expect a Fruitful Outcome from SCO Meet: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed to Tashkent, to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meet, saying that India expects a fruitful outcome from the SCO, especially in the field of economic cooperation.
“India attaches great importance to ties with Central Asia and always seeks to expand economic and people-to-people ties with the region,” said a statement issued by the PM prior to his departure, adding that he would be meeting and interacting with leaders of the SCO Nations.
India and Pakistan will be formally inducted into the China-led SCO summit at its two-day meet in Tashkent.
