The Quint has accessed exclusive footage of the training camps of Bru Revolutionary Army Union (BRA-U). This footage is from two locations on the Assam-Mizoram border and the Tripura-Mizoram border.

The Bru Revolutionary Army (BRA-U) is led by self-styled Commander-in-Chief Rajesh Chorkhy. The cadres of this outfit are mainly from the Reang community. More than 30,000 Bru refugees live in camps of Kanchanpur in North Tripura. Leaders like Rajesh Chorkhy are from these camps.

The BRA-U militants active in the border areas of Assam, Mizoram and Tripura mainly target the non-tribals, especially the Bengalis. The militant group is mainly involved in kidnapping and extortion.
