The protesters are demanding redressal of several issues like OROP, atrocities against Dalits, farmers issues and gender justice among others.

Over 500 retired defence personnel from Delhi, Punjab and Haryana staged a protest on Wednesday, 30 January, against the “half-baked” implementation.

  • The agitation demands complete OROP implementation as per the definition approved by the Parliament
  • The Dalits participating in the protests are demanding repeal of the Constitution (103rd Amendment) Act, 2019, which introduces reservations based on economic criteria into the Constitution
  • The farmers are demanding payment of MSPs and procurement prices

At Jantar Mantar, a Strong Message to the BJP From OROP Activists

Over 500 retired defence personnel from Delhi, Punjab and Haryana staged a protest against the “half-baked” implementation of One Rank One Pension at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Wednesday, 30 January.

The protest by OROP activists marked the first day of a week-long stir organised under the banner of the All India Kisan Sabha in the capital.
