Sanjay Dutt, a popular Bollywood actor and a convict in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast, is set to walk free on 27 February 2016.
According to his sentence, Dutt was to finish his jail term in October 2016 but the government has given him the right to walk out a free man early on clauses of “good behaviour”.
Dutt, who has spent as much time out of prison as serving time in it since 2013, authorities confirmed that he was treated the same as any other convict and wasn’t given any special VIP treatment.
Dutt will now walk out of prison a free man, eight months before his term was meant to end.
