A third-year radiology student at the St Stephens Hospital, Delhi, was found dead on 25 August.
Shashwant Pandey, 26, was interning at the hospital. His body was found by an attendant in the rest room of the hospital in a pool of blood.
The police suspect that one of Pandey’s colleague is responsible for the murder, and are examining the role of other resident doctors.
Pandey’s body was shifted to the morgue. Post the incident, more than 50 doctors protested the lack of security in the premises, demanding that the culprit be booked within 24 hours.
