For the first time, the Delhi Police anti-terror unit have registered an FIR against unknown persons connected with terrorist organisations Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Ansar-ut Tawheed (AuT).

A copy of the FIR, accessed by The Quint, reveals that it was registered on the basis of secret information received by the Delhi police. It also says, as per intelligence information, a deep-rooted conspiracy is being hatched by the terrorist organisation to carry out terror strikes in different parts of India including Delhi.

According to sources in the Delhi police, terror strikes are planned during the coming festive seasons. Police sources also reveal that several persons have been interrogated in this connection.

Interestingly, AuT is not yet a banned organisation in India, according to a source in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The FIR registered by the police also reveals that AuT and ISIS are working together to propagate terrorism.
