Delhi Police Special Cell is conducting raids at several locations in the capital on Thursday, 3 October, after receiving inputs on a likely terror strike, according to ANI.
Security has been beefed up across the national capital after the intelligence inputs suggested that three to four members of a terror outfit may have infiltrated into the city, PTI reported.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has also intensified patrolling and picketing in several areas across the national capital as the city gears up for Durga Puja and Ramlila to ensure safety and security of people, especially women.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Delhi, MS Randhawa said, “We are on alert and taking all anti-terrorism measures. We are working on all inputs. There is nothing to worry,” according to ANI.
A direction has been issued to the deputy commissioners of police (DCP) of all 15 districts to step up security at vital locations and ensure maximum police mobility on the streets, reported Hindustan Times.
