Delhi Metro has come under fire as services continue to witness disruptions, causing extensive delays.
On Tuesday, 16 July, a technical glitch led to a slow movement of trains between Sultanpur and Huda City Centre, much to the inconvenience of passengers.
The Sultanpur-Huda City Centre line, better known as the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro, is a lifeline for many travellers. The Yellow Line connects Delhi and Gurugram.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has now tweeted saying the train services have resumed and regretted the inconvenience.
Meanwhile, a lot of the stranded passengers took to Twitter to express anger and frustration. While some commuters have tagged the Delhi Metro’s official handle, asking for help, others lashed out at the authority for overlooking this lingering problem.
Earlier on 15 July, the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line faced a technical glitch leading to disruption of train services and leaving many commuters stranded in stations for over 20 minutes.
According to the DMRC, train services were temporarily being run between two loops – Jankapuri West and RK Puram metro stations, and Botanical Garden and Kalkaji metro stations.
Moreover, hundreds of commuters were stranded near the Qutub Minar-Chattarpur area on 21 May, due to a technical error in the Delhi Metro service line. The disruptions were caused on the same Yellow Line route.
