Services of the Delhi Metro were affected on Thursday, 29 March, due to a technical snag on the Blue Line (Dwarka Sector 21-Vaishali/Noida City Centre) between the Karol Bagh and RK Ashram metro stations, which resulted in trains being delayed.

An overhead electrification glitch occurred on Thursday afternoon, due to which only single line services were running between Kirti Nagar (interlinking station for the Green Line) and Barakhamba Road, ANI reported.

The snag was reported in the contact wire of the overhead electrification at 2:05 pm, affecting train services on the 50-km-long line, the DMRC said in a statement.

The services were restored at 3:35 pm, it added.

Metro services were carried out in three loops on the line: Dwarka Sector 21 to Kirti Nagar, a single line between Kirti Nagar to Barakhamba Road, and Barakhamba Road to Noida City Centre/Vaishali.

As the snag hit, many Delhiites took their frustration out on Twitter :
