Here’s All You Need to Know About Noida’s New ‘Aqua’ Metro Line

The ‘Aqua Line’, a metro line running between Noida and Greater Noida, is expected to be operational after it is inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, 25 January.
The rail corridor is expected to run between Sector 51 station in Noida and Depot Station in Greater Noida, with a total of 21 stations – 15 in Noida and 6 in Greater Noida – covering a distance of 29.7 km, PTI reported.

What is the Minimum and Maximum Fare?
The price of tickets for this line, PTI quoting the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), is Rs 9 per ticket (minimum fare) and Rs 50 per ticket (maximum fare).
What Are the Different Compartments?
The Aqua Line will have separate compartments for ladies, senior citizens and differently-abled persons. Each compartment will have a specific colour to differentiate between categories. Dedicated space for wheelchairs in the driving trailer cars, located at both the ends of the trains, will be allotted as well, PTI reported.
How to Interchange Stations?
Commuters can transfer to the Aqua Line by deboarding at Sector 52 station of the Blue Line and boarding from Sector 51 station of the Aqua Line. This will cover a stretch of 200 metres, PTI reported.
The construction for the Aqua Line began in May 2015 and was initially expected to open for public use in November 2018. However, it was pushed to December. It has now been rescheduled for January, after the final safety inspection of the corridor which was conducted by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) in December. The final nod of approval to launch operations was given by the NMRC, PTI reported.
