A Delhi court on Friday, 1 February, allowed meat exporter Moin Qureshi's application to travel abroad, reported ANI. The court directed him to furnish Rs 2 crore additional security or bank guarantee in court.

The controversial meat exporter, whose name also cropped up during the recent CBI tussle, had filed an application to travel to Dubai and Pakistan.

Earlier, the Patiala House Court had reserved the order on Qureshi's application. The CBI and the ED had both opposed the application, ANI further reported, citing sources.

Qureshi, who was booked under the money laundering act and is accused of conducting illegal hawala transactions, was reportedly granted bail on 12 December.

CBI Special Director Rakesh Asthana had been under investigation for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 crore to protect businessman Moin Qureshi in a case. The allegations had led to an internal feud in the CBI with both Asthana and his superior, Alok Verma, trading bribery charges until they were moved out of the premier investigating agency.
