India recorded 1,49,394 new COVID-19 cases, 2,46,674 recoveries, and 1,072 deaths on Friday, 4 February.
The number of active cases in the country currently stands at 14,35,569. So far, 168.47 crore vaccine doses have been administered.
The daily positivity rate marginally decreased to 9.27 percent from Thursday's 10.99 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is at 12.03 percent.
The national capital, meanwhile, reported 2,272 new COVID-19 cases.
34 states/Union Territories (UTs) in the country recording a decline in cases and positivity rate, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday.

Mizoram reported 1,956 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking active cases to 15,632. The positivity rate currently stands at 30.91 percent.
Odisha reported 2,697 new COVID-19 cases and 7,487 recoveries on Thursday.

65 percent of COVID-19 vaccination beneficiaries in the 15-18 age group have been jabbed with the first vaccine dose in one month, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Friday.

Rajasthan government has lifted the night curfew across the state with effect from 5 February.
A maximum of 250 people are allowed at wedding ceremonies. Further, religious places will be opened for devotees.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Friday, 4 February, said a case has been filed against Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and others for violation COVID-19 and Election Comission of India's guidelines during a rally in Dadri on Thursday, 3 February.
"A case filed against SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, RLD chief Jayant Chaudhary, SP's Dadri candidate Rajkumar Bhati, SP's Gautam Buddh Nagar chief Indra Pradhan and 300-400 others for violating COVID19 and ECI's guidelines during a campaign in Dadri on February 3," the police said, according to ANI.
"In view of the decreased need of hospitalization of COVID-19 positive patients and also considering the relaxation of curbs imposed earlier as announced by the Delhi government, it has been decided that routine inpatient admissions including elective surgeries to resume at AIIMS Delhi with immediate effect," AIIMS said in an official cricular.
Kerala Health Minister Veena George on Friday said that the positivity rate in this state has decreased to 10%.
"The fatality rate is 0.9%, which is also less than the national average," she added.
Kerala reports 38,684 new COVID-19 cases, 41,037 recoveries and 28 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The state government said that 197 deaths had not not added due to lack of documents and 370 deaths were also added to the COVID death list as per the new guidelines of the central government.
The Karnataka government on Friday eased the COVID-19 restrictions in the state.
"Gyms, cinema halls, swimming pools and yoga centres have been allowed to function with 100% capacity with strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and guidelines," reads the order.
West Bengal reported 1,523 fresh COVID-19 cases, 35 deaths and 2,421 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the State is recorded at 3.10 percent with 20,213 active cases.
A total of 49,152 tests were conducted in the State.
Assam reported 739 new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths and 2,568 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the State is recorded at 2.67 percent with 11, 942 active cases.
Delhi reported 2,272 new COVID-19 cases, 20 fatalities and 4,166 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The capital city recorded 11, 716 active cases.
Karnataka reported 14,950 new COVID-19 cases, 40,599 recoveries and 53 deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate fell to 9.17 percent and daily new cases were down by 80 percent in Bengaluru.
Active cases were recorded at 1,23,098 in the State.
Gujarat reported 6,097 fresh COVID-19 cases, 12,105 recoveries and 35 deaths in the last 24 hours. The active cases in the State now stand at 57,521 with 10,614 reported death toll.
The High Commission of India in Colombo, Sri Lanka said that India will initiate the delivery of 1 lakh RAT (Rapid Antigen Tests) on Friday to Sri Lanka.
The High Commission said in a statement, "India continues its COVID19 assistance to Sri Lanka by initiating the delivery of 100,000 RAT kits from today. The remaining kits to follow in the coming days."
Maharashtra, on Friday, reported 13,840 new cases, 27,891 recoveries, and 81 deaths, in the last 24 hours. No new case of Omicron was logged in the state today.
