At least 600 new COVID-19 positive cases including 399 in Chennai were reported in Tamil Nadu on Friday, 8 May, Health Minister C Vijayabaskar said. The total Number of COVID-19 cases has reached 6,009 in Tamil Nadu including 1,605 recovered/discharged and 40 deaths. Number of active cases stands at 4,361.
