Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA Omprakash Saklecha has tested positive for COVID-19, just hours after he cast his vote for the Rajya Sabha polls held on Friday, reports said.
The MLA had given his sample on Friday afternoon, reported NDTV, with his positive report, along with that of his wife, coming out later in the day.
On Saturday, five other BJP MLAs, who were in touch with Saklecha, also got themselves tested in Bhopal, reported The Indian Express.

On Saturday, Bengaluru recorded 94 more COVID-19 patients, taking the total number of active patients in Bengaluru Urban to 621. While 1076 people have been discharged in Bengaluru from the time the pandemic started, 61 deaths too have been reported, The News Minute reported.
With cases rising, the containment zones in the city too have gone up. As of Saturday, there are 279 containment zones in the city, including 31 apartments in the city. If a person living in an apartment gets the infection, the BBMP normally marks the person is living in, one floor above and below as containment zones.
Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a meeting over COVID-19 with Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal and other senior officials on Sunday, reports ANI.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will also attend the meeting via video conferencing, as per the report.
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Sunday said, "Being densely populated (2,27,136 persons/sq km), Dharavi had 491 cases in April with 12% growth rate and case doubling period of 18 days. Proactive measures adopted by BMC reduced COVID-19 growth rate to 4.3% in May 2020 & further to 1.02% in June," ANI reported.
A meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, over COVID-19 situation, is underway at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and Health Secretary Priti Sudan are also present at the meeting, ANI reports.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, on Sunday, held a meeting with members of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad over the organisation of 'Mahakumbh Mela 2021', at his residence in Dehradun, ANI reported.
Chief Minister's Office said, "Considering the religious significance of Mahakumbh Mela 2021, the event will be held as scheduled. However, the final decision will be taken in February 2021, as per the situation & circumstances prevailing at that time."
