West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday, said that all places of worship will open from 1 June, but not more than 10 people will be allowed, including no assembly at religious places.

Finance Ministry is engaging with the Labour Ministry over job losses and salary cuts, ANI reports citing sources.

“Uttarakhand has recorded the worst daily increase in COVID-19 cases as 102 people test positive, the state's tally now 602,” PTI reported quoting officials.

Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Sangma said, “six more residents who returned to state have tested positive for COVID-19; three from South West Garo Hills, one from West Garo Hills,one from East Khasi Hills and one from West Khasi Hills. They had come from Maharashtra, Bengaluru, West Bengal and Chennai.”
Karnataka Health Department said, “248 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state today; the total number of positive cases in the state is now 2,781, death toll 48.”

Tamil Nadu Health Department said, “874 new positive cases reported in the state today, taking the total positive patients in the state to 20,246,” reports ANI.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said, “over four lakh migrant workers have returned to Jharkhand so far and plans are afoot to provide work opportunities to 10 lakh people.”

Government of Jammu and Kashmir said, “128 new cases, including 36 from Jammu, 92 from Kashmir and one death reported today; the total number of positive cases in the union territory is now 2,164.”
Uttarakhand Health Department said, “114 more persons test positive for COVID-19 in the state, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 716.”
“With 253 new patients, count of coronavirus cases in Ahmedabad rises to 11,597 while death toll reaches 798 with 18 persons dying,” PTI reports quoting a health official.
“39 more people test positive for COVID-19 in Punjab; total tally in state now 2,197,” PTI reports quoting medical bulletin.
“With 372 new patients, coronavirus case tally in Gujarat rises to 15,944, twenty people succumb to pandemic taking death toll to 980,” PTI reports health official.
Telangana reported 100 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total number of cases in the state to 2,008, the State Health Department stated.
“Madhya Pradesh reported 192 new COVID-19 cases, including 84 in worst-hit Indore district; total tally in state now 7,645,” PTI reported quoting health officials.
