A person was killed and five more were injured when a CNG-fitted car exploded near a firecracker warehouse at Kadipur Industrial Area in Gurugram on Sunday, 14 April.
A fire broke out in the warehouse after the explosion, which was later brought under control. The police said that they are investigating the incident, NDTV reported. According to a Times of India report, four fire tenders were rushed to douse the fire.
The Kadipur industrial area is home to several firecracker godowns. A Gurugram police spokesperson said that the people inside the car might have light up cigarettes which could have caused the fire. A case has been registered in the Sector 10 police station.
