ED Arrests ‘Aide’ of Rape Accused Franco Mulakkal in Jalandhar

Father Anthony has not produced account for the cash that was seized by the ED.

With the rape allegations against Bishop of Jalandhar, Franco Mulakkal, the Catholic Church in India has appeared to be a floundering, leaderless mess.

An alleged close aide of Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who is accused in the Kerala nun rape case, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The ED arrested Father Anthony after unaccounted cash was recovered from his Partappura residence in Jalandhar. According to The New Indian Express, Father Anthony has not produced any account for the cash that was seized.

Franco Mulakkal, who was accused of raping a nun between 2014-2016,is out on bail.
