The posters of Bajrang Dal leader Yogesh Raj, the main accused in the Bulandshahr mob violence case, have resurfaced in the Nayabans village and on the highway in Uttar Pradesh.

Raj, the prime suspect in the killing of police Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh during mob violence in December 2018 in Bulandshahr, was arrested in January this year, IANS reported.

Raj was caught following a tip-off that led a police team to his hideout in Bulandshahr.
Raj, the then district coordinator of Bajrang Dal, was wanted for reportedly inciting crowds over alleged cow slaughter at Sayana in Bulandshahr, which led to the murder of the Inspector as well as of a civilian, the IANS report said.

Raj had reportedly claimed that he saw a cow being slaughtered at a field on 3 December.

In December 2018, the police had registered two FIRs naming 27 people and mentioning 60 unnamed people. While one FIR was filed against the alleged cattle slaughter, the other was registered against the violent protests which followed.

The violence erupted following the alleged recovery of animal carcasses, which the Bajrang Dal claimed were of cows.
